Expansion of the Company

Given the regular development of activity and in spite of a difficult economic environment, the new Management decided upon the construction of new buildings.
The entire site is to consist of an area of 6,500 square meters. This expansion is accompanied by both increased investments in equipment and sustained training of all staff.

On the 8th of March 1994, Bernard BOSSON, Minister of Transport, Equipment and Tourism, lays the first stone of the plant extension.
Mrs Andrée BONTE, widow of Julien BONTE, placing a sealed parchment inside the first stone.

During this event, on the 8th of March 1994, Bernard BOSSON cited Tricots Saint-James as an example: "Given that textiles is the sector where world competition is the most fierce, you are only to be congratulated in your research for quality, your lucid view of the market, your company culture, your efforts in the field of training, and the motivation of your entire staff".

A new extension

A new extension which brought the total area of the site to more than 11,000 square meters in order to satisfy a continually increasing customer demand.

At the same time, Saint-James decided to create "warp and weft" collections (trousers, shirts, jackets, etc.) by dealing with outfitters reputed for the quality of their manufactures. This orientation enables real marine inspired silhouettes to be offered.
